Mentor Camp

With the right advice and connections, Digital Companies can scale up very quickly and achieve their growth targets. On many occasions, the advice and the connections can be worth a lot more than simple passive investment.
Having trialled a mini-mentor program in Halifax, all of the main agencies, ACOA, NRC, Innovacorp and NSBI have come together to bring more than a dozen world class mentors to Halifax and allow six companies to benefit from their vast knowledge and experience in one intense day on the 11th of October.
The agenda for the day will look like this;
9am -11:30 am Companies will receive training on how to deliver a simple five minute explanation of what they do (not the same as an elevator pitch). This training will be delivered by Permjot Valia, who last year was nominated by TechCrunch as one of the best mentors to Start ups in Europe!
11:45 The Event will be held at the Prince George Hotel and companies are invited to have lunch and to meet the mentors. Each company will then explain their business to the group of mentors before they then have an intense 40 minute mentoring session with each pair of mentors.
The day will finish at around 5:30 and if you are lucky enough to have participated in this program you are guaranteed to leave the day with lots of fantastic ideas and contacts that will ensure your business will be able to grow rapidly.
Places are limited to just six companies and the application process is very straightforward.
To apply, you just need to demonstrate that you will be able to make the most of this incredible mentoring opportunity. Companies need to be from the Nova Scotia area and less than three years old. Ideas are also welcome to apply.
